Aleksey Agapkin has been appointed as Deputy Director General for Operational Efficiency and Technical Development of Freight One
Freight One introduced the position of Deputy Director General for Operational Efficiency and Technical Development. Aleksey Agapkin, who previously held the position of Director of Production Efficiency at SIBUR, was appointed to a new position.
Among the key tasks of the new leader are the implementation of the Production System in Freight One, as well as the development and implementation of a strategy for maintaining the company's rolling stock, including through the use of digital approaches in the field of operation and repair of wagons.
“The implementation of the Production System in all divisions of our company is one of the key projects of the Freight One 2023 Strategy, and I am sure that Aleksey’s experience and knowledge will ensure reliable methodological support for this direction, as well as complement the work on maintenance and repair of the park with new practices," commented Sergey Karataev, Director General of Freight One.
Since 2011, before joining Freight One, Aleksey held leading positions in the structures of SIBUR: he was head of SIBUR-Neftekhim, then in the parent company he was responsible for the development of production and the introduction of digital technologies in the operating activities of all holding assets. From 1996 to 2011, he held leading positions in the Rostselmash Group, worked in the consulting company Monitor Group and the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (Bank of Russia) (Ryazan).
In 1997, he graduated from Ryazan State Radio Engineering University with a degree in Economics and Enterprise Management, and in 2007 received an MBA from Oxford University.
