Freight One started shipping crystalline silicon
Freight One has expanded the range of goods transported in covered railroad cars. In February, the operator began to ship crystalline silicon arriving in ports of the Far East from abroad. During the first month 5.1 thousand tons were shipped.
“Tailored work with our partners has allowed Freight One to start transporting a new type of cargo. The company hasoffered the client loyal price terms and guaranteed uninterrupted supply of suitable cars. In the context of the increased load on the ports of the Far East because of the restricted operations of border checkpoints, we have worked out a convenient logistic scheme to provide the rolling stock timely. Cars are supplied for loading along their way: covered cars go to the loading station immediately after aluminum has been unloaded at the previous station in the Primorsky Territory. This method makes it possible to speed up the supply of the rolling stock to the client and to reduce the cost of the empty run. In the near future the partner is going to increase the amount loaded in our car fleet,” Gennady Orlov, Deputy Director for Commerce of Freight One's Vladivostok branch, said.
