Freight One won the tender for the transportation of PhosAgro’s products
The new contract will be an extension of a three-year service contract signed by Freight One and PhosAgro Group in 2018. In accordance with this document, until 2023 the operator will transport PhosAgro Group's mineral fertilizers of 300 to 350 thousand tons a month in open railroad cars.
PhosAgro's monthly traffic in Freight One's cars can reach 5,000 cars bound for consignees in Russia and neighboring countries.
“We have a long-standing strong partnership with PhosAgro. The new deal is a guarantee that the freight list will expand and the service level will improve for Apatit (a member of PhosAgro Group), the leader of the chemical industry. Our cooperation will not be limited to high-quality preparations of open cars. I hope that the new contract will strengthen the partnership between Freight One and Apatit in matters concerning water transportation, cargo packaging on new routes and the technical policy for preparing the car fleet for the list of cargo announced by the partner,” Freight One’s executive director Dmitry Pritula pointed out.
In 2020, as part of its cooperation with PhosAgro, Freight One transported over 3.5 million tons of the Group's mineral fertilizers. The new three-year contract is concluded based on the careful selection.
“The car fleet of our company includes about 9 thousand railroad cars of various types. Open cars engaged perform most of shipments of raw materials and finished products of Apatit JSC. When it provided services under the previous three-year contract, Freight One has established itself as a reliable and loyal partner by responding flexibly and promptly to the customer's requests. We are glad that, as a result of the tender, Freight One has confirmed its high competence and competitive qualities by providing guarantees for the smooth supply of open cars in 2021 to 2023. The parties have also agreed upon conditions that will significantly enhance the companies’ competitiveness and ensure the continuous supply of environmentally friendly mineral fertilizers to the domestic market and the Baltic countries within the agreed time frame,” Andrey Shepel, Logistics Director of Apatit JSC, said.
Under the service contract, in addition to ensuring the export of products, the companies will cooperate on logistics and freight forwarding matters and the rolling stock maintenance.
